APPLICATION OF FRACTAL ANALYSIS METHODS TO FORECASTING INDICATORS OF DEVELOPMENT OF COFFEE INDUSTRY ENTERPRISES
The article focuses on the problem of adaptation of fractal analysis methods to forecasting the development indicators of coffee industry enterprises, as the most promising industry, which ranks second in terms of international transactions after oil transactions. It is established that standard methods of probabilistic-statistical, fundamental and technical analysis do not work well due to the non-Gaussian distribution of the financial market and the lack of evidence that Economics and Finance are random events where the past does not affect the future. A method of R/S analysis is proposed to establish the random or fractal nature of financial indicators for the development of the coffee industry, to formulate conclusions about the presence of non-periodic cycles, long-term memory, etc. The results of applied calculations in the empirical chronicle confirmed the possibility of using this technical tool to forecast key indicators of economic development of the largest coffee importing enterprises.
